16th International Short Film Festival of Cyprus (ISFFC) – Call for Entries

Il Dipartimento di Cultura Contemporanea del Ministero della Cultura di Cipro e il Rialto Theatre lanciano un bando per la presentazione di cortometraggi all’International Short Film Festival di Cipro.
L’obiettivo principale dell’ISFFC è la promozione dell’arte cinematografica attraverso un programma diversificato di cortometraggi provenienti da tutto il mondo. Il Festival mira inoltre a presentare il lavoro di registi di talento che utilizzano con successo forme creative di linguaggio cinematografico per raccontare una storia.
Il Festival è un evento annuale che accetta candidature di film per le sue sezioni competitive internazionali e nazionali nei seguenti generi di cortometraggio: finzione, documentari, sperimentali, studenteschi e di animazione. I film ammessi devono avere una durata massima di 30 minuti. I film possono essere inviati all’ISFFC solo tramite le seguenti piattaforme: shortfilmdepot.com e filmfreeway.com.
Concorso nazionale: i cortometraggi ciprioti selezionati competono sia per i premi internazionali che per quelli nazionali. I registi ciprioti che vivono e lavorano a Cipro o all’estero possono presentare le loro opere. Tutti i film devono essere presentati in anteprima.
Concorso internazionale: l’International Short Film Festival odi Cipro è partner della European Film Academy. Pertanto, dal 2019, l’ISFFC ha il diritto di nominare un cortometraggio per gli European Film Academy Awards.
Una giuria internazionale composta da cinque membri, tra personalità del mondo del cinema, deciderà i premi (in denaro e in servizi) nelle varie categorie. I cinque membri della giuria internazionale saranno annunciati prossimamente.
Il Festival si terrà al Rialto Theatre di Limassol dal 10 al 16 ottobre 2026.
Tutte gli interessati possono inviare il proprio film entro e non oltre il 2 maggio 2026.

The Department of Contemporary Culture of the Cyprus Deputy Ministry of Culture and the Rialto Theatre are launching an open call for short film submissions to the International Short Film Festival of Cyprus.
The main objective of the ISFFC is the promotion of the art of Cinema by showcasing a diverse programme of short films from around the globe. The Festival also aims at presenting the work of talented filmmakers who successfully use creative cinematic language forms to tell a story.
The Festival is an annual event, accepting film submissions to its international and national competition sections in the following genres: fiction, documentary, experimental, student and animation short films. Eligible films must have a maximum duration of 30 minutes. Films may only be submitted to the ISFFC via the following platforms: shortfilmdepot.com and filmfreeway.com.
National Competition: the selected Cypriot short films compete both for the International and the National Awards. Cypriot Directors who live and work in Cyprus or abroad are eligible to submit their work. Αll films must be Cyprus premieres.
International Competition: the International Short Film Festival of Cyprus was selected by the European Film Academy to join the network of its partner festivals. Therefore, since 2019, the ISFFC has the right to nominate one short film for the European Film Academy Awards.
A five-member international jury consisting of personalities from the film industry will decide upon the awards (monetary and in kind) in various categories. The five-member International Jury members will be announced at a later stage.
The Festival will take place at the Rialto Theatre in Limassol from the 10th until the 16th of October 2026.
All interested parties are requested to submit their film by the 2nd of May 2026 the latest.
