FILM DISTRIBUTION FUND – Anno 2025 – Bando per la concessione di contributi per il supporto alla distribuzione oltre i confini nazionali di film italiani a prioritario sfruttamento cinematografico
Si pubblica il decreto direttoriale 3 luglio 2026, rep. 2091, recante “Bando per la concessione di contributi per il supporto alla distribuzione oltre i confini nazionali di film italiani a prioritario sfruttamento cinematografico – FILM DISTRIBUTION FUND – Anno 2025”.
L’articolo 10, comma 1 lettera g), della Legge n. 220 del 2016 prevede che il Ministero svolga le attività di indirizzo sui programmi di internazionalizzazione dell’industria cinematografica e audiovisiva italiana e ne coordini l’attuazione, al fine di favorire la diffusione e la distribuzione internazionale delle opere cinematografiche e audiovisive italiane
Il FILM DISTRIBUTION FUND disciplina le modalità di concessione di contributi per il supporto alla distribuzione cinematografica in sala di film di nazionalità italiana al di fuori dei confini nazionali.
Per l’annualità 2025, le risorse destinate al FILM DISTRIBUTION FUND sono pari a 1.600.000 euro. Le richieste possono essere presentate in un’unica call dal 3 luglio al 17 luglio 2026, ore 23.59 da parte di distributori esteri con sede legale in tutto il mondo ad eccezione di Italia, San Marino e Città del Vaticano e che, nel periodo compreso tra il 1° gennaio 2025 e il 31 dicembre 2025, abbiano curato l’uscita theatrical dei film nelle sale nel Paese estero per il quale è richiesto il contributo.

The Director General Decree of July 3, 2026, Ref. No. 2091, entitled “Call for applications for granting contributions to support the distribution of Italian cinematographic works beyond national borders.”, is hereby published.
Article 10, paragraph 1, letter g), of Law No. 220/2016 provides that the Ministry shall oversee and coordinate the implementation of internationalization programmes for the Italian film and audiovisual industry, with the aim of promoting the international circulation and distribution of Italian cinematographic and audiovisual works.
The FILM DISTRIBUTION FUND sets forth the procedures and criteria governing the allocation of grants aimed at supporting the theatrical distribution of Italian films outside the Italy.
For the 2025 edition, the total budget allocated to the FILM DISTRIBUTION FUND amounts to EUR 1,600,000. Applications may be submitted during a single call for proposals, open from 3 July 2026 until 17 July 2026 at 11:59 p.m. (CET), by foreign distributors having their registered office anywhere in the world, with the exception of Italy, the Republic of San Marino, and Vatican City. Eligible applicants must have handled the theatrical release of the films in the foreign territory for which funding is requested during the period from 1 January 2025 to 31 December 2025.
